I have been an RN for 27 years. I spent the first 17 years of my career working in critical care areas, caring for the sickest of the sick. Consequently, over time, I developed an intense interest in disease/injury prevention and health promotion. I went back to school to become a primary care nurse practitioner and have been practicing in that role for the last 10 years. I have now added the role of nurse practitioner educator.
